I loved this interview with Girls’ costume designer Jenn Rogien. For the character Hannah: “We fit the clothes while she was wearing Spanx and then pulled the Spanx to intentionally make her look disheveled.” This is how I feel all the time!
And, in other news I crossed off a blogger milestone last week – I got hate mail. Someone was digging through my posts and (I summarized and sugar-coated…) decided I was too liberal for her reading enjoyment. For my own sanity I view everyone’s politics as if it were a skeleton in their closet – I accept it, definitely don’t dwell on it & move on, because there is so much more to a person than how they vote.
Awe, hate mail. I have yet for that. Seems like you handled it well though!

It always intrigues me when people feel the need to explain to someone that they’re going to stop following them, or un-friending them etc etc. It’s like, “I need you to know that you’re not what I thought you were and I am un-following you because of it! Will you please stop being that way and tell me you’re sorry, so then I can come back?” Haha. There have been times I’ve stopped following blogs/instagrams/etc because I no longer agree with the person’s beliefs/lifestyle (I’m happier glossing over something rather than continually looking at it and getting worked up about how “wrong” the person is–of course they’re not wrong at all. My opinions are just different. Case in point: this one blog would mention the fact that her cats kept getting pregnant and she was wondering why. [Because you haven't gotten them spayed dumbass!] And rather than tell her this and continually get angry over this, I just stopped following. Trivial, I know. But it was for my sanity.) But anyway! I have never ever told someone when I stopped, or why. What is the point in that? To make someone feel bad for believing what they believe? That’s silly and unnecessary. And actually, so is this essay of a comment. I will stop here haha. Sorry about that! But I’m glad you’re over it already : ]
