"What's in my drawers" you ask?

Angela over at The Lurchers is hosting Fun Monday this week.

Continuing in the spirit of “being interested in people”, she would like to know, or see, what’s on, in or under your bedside table! So open those draws and bare your soul! Is there anything special there that has a story or a memory that you can tell us about? Books that you keep there to delve into from time to time? Trinkets that you don’t know where else to put? Let’s see!

OK, well, not terribly interesting. I have my alarm clock which I never set or turn on because I have 3 dogs & 2 children who take care of dragging my butt out of bed. Massage oil, because my back is a mess & my husband has great massage hands. Water + St. John’s Wort + Arbonne Essential Fatty Acid Supplement + Excedrin Migraine. Lotion for my hands and feet. My cell phone charger… see, my charger misses my cell phone because I always leave the phone in the purse, which drives certain people nuts! There’s also a Soduku book & pencil and a pair of glasses because my vision swims at night. My Empi pads for my back.

Correctol, because I am too lazy to move the box back to the bathroom, cough drops from the last time I was sick – again too lazy to return the right spot. More lotion for my hands & feet.

And what everyone should have in their nightstand “The Dreamers Dictionary“. I have the freakiest dreams and instead of wondering about them or having my husband look at me like I am crazy I bought this book to help me out. So if for example I dream about a circus…

Circus: If your dream involved being with children at a circus or taking them to one, it is a sign of exceptional luck in financial matters; otherwise, it is a warning to be more careful of the impression you make on others.

or,

Loudspeaker: An unpleasantly high volume of sound signifies approaching worries, but if you adjusted the volume, the dream indicates recognition for useful social or charity work.

See what I mean?!

My husband does think I’m crazy.

Weekend junk-o-rama

I started this blog to keep in touch with my west coast family & to keep sorta a journal because I can never remember anything!

So…

I painted my living room, kitchen, breakfast room/nook/(?) + 3 hallways on Saturday with the ever appreciated help of my daughter. Thanks babe! Instead of “builder’s beige”& baby poop sludge for the dining room, we are living happily in pretty butter and sage hues. Anyways, one more room to go, the master bedroom – oh, and the bathrooms. Maybe next month.

Speaking of next month, I am going on a girl’s weekend getaway with 2 of my neighbors. First stop Iatria for some pampering, then off to the beach. One neighbor is checking out a rental house she wants to rent for a week this summer for her family. Naturally, I am just along for the ride, but I’ll be taking pictures to share.

I got my hair done = cut + color {from light blonde to dark auburn} big, big change!

One of my posts is MIA {I am not sure I want to talk about this – because I am a little ticked.}

My Dad called {in the midst of my hair appointment} to say my Mom is in the hospital. She went to the Urgent Care last night, waited forever, was diagnosed with appendicitis & had surgery to remove her appendix before the night was through. Yikes! I’ll talk to her later tonight if she is home from the hospital. She’ll probably post on her blog, too, when she is back in business ~ the Prytz family ~ send some well wishes, she would love it.

And, way off track: How’s that for last names… Prytz & then Koehmstedt! I’ll never know what it is like to have a teacher or anyone else for that matter pronounce my name correctly or not have to spell it out every-single-stinkin’-time I’m asked.

Shameless plug: If you need a header… Sweet Faerie Designs… nuff said.

Just because this is stinkin' hysterical

Dog vs. Kong, and other dog stuff

This is what I listen to for a good portion of the day, it drives me insane!

They ALL fit on the new blanket.

Lucy loves ice, this chunk she brought in from the backyard – it snowed & froze here last weekend – plenty of ice for her, which she loves to eat on carpet?!

My first Haiku

Haiku Friday

Well probably not my first since I have a distant memory of being forced to produce Haiku in high school. Ah, the good ‘ol days. Ha!

sitting at my desk
freezing cold
must turn on the heater
or I could grab Jed
cuddle him
for a lap heater
