Daily Dishonesty

daily dishonesty cake is mostly air

Daily Dishonesty, have you heard of it? Me, too, and just now I’m getting around to posting about it. And consciously or subconsciously I picked all buttery yellow prints to share. Hmm.

The site Daily Dishonesty was created by Lauren Hom, who’s a graphic designer and illustrator based in New York City – originally a Southern California native. Check out her website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Etsy & Society6 sites.

daily dishonesty im almost ready

This is my husband’s motto. He’s running late for everything, all the time. (And, for an on-time person it’s really let me perfect my eyeroll so much so that I can roll my eyes and you will only see the whites of my eyes. True story.)

daily dishonesty sweatpants are sexy

And see how Sexy is a drawstring from sweatpants? Genius.

For all of you wonderful Mac users who get a .cpgz file – I’ve been informed Springy (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/springy.html) fixes this problem.

Gone to the beach

and pinterest.

Now that my oldest lives down at the beach,
I am going to make a genuine effort to make the 2+ hour trek to visit her & the sea.
In recent years, including this one, we’re tight on the budget and family
vacations have been a luxury we couldn’t afford.
This year, I vow to dip my toes in the Atlantic on at least
3 separate occasions.
And, hopefully look good doing it!

Accessories make it fit

Rest assured, I am not turning into a fashion blogger.
I just don’t have that spark in me.
But, I am working on my style this summer and these accessories sort of do it for me.
I love the rings, a girl can never have a enough jewelry, no?
Some really great jewelry shops on Etsy, that are teasing me daily are:
Lavender Cottage, Kathryn Reichert, The Hummingbead, & Roots and Wings.

Flowers & Feathers

This summer I am going to work on defining my style.
Right now, it consists of comfortable clothes.
And, when I say comfortable, I mean my husband’s sweats & tees.
I need some definition of my own.
Still comfortable, but more soft than comfortable,
with some girly influences,
and a side of me.
