I work with creatives and small business owners to create custom designs for their WordPress.org sites. Each project is developed specifically with you in mind, and the design will be created to fit your needs. Throughout the process we will work closely together to ensure the end result is exactly what you want.

Answers to additional questions regarding the custom design process, payment information, communication preferences, website support, site back-ups, hosting, framework support, and copyright can be found below.
The design process for your project begins with a questionnaire. The questionnaire will help me get an idea of your style and preferences for the design. Once the questionnaire is received, a project contract is signed & returned, and payment is remitted, I will begin the design based off of the questionnaire answers and our previous correspondence. Once an initial design is sent, you are allowed to make up to three rounds of revisions. The design process can take anywhere between two to four weeks depending on the number of edits and your response time to emails. Please make sure you are available via email to respond to design questions and drafts.
Credit card payment via PayPal is the preferred form of payment . You do not need to have a PayPal account, you may pay invoices securely by inputting your credit card information directly through the PayPal website. In special previously agreed to circumstances I also accept payment via check.
Due to the nature of design work and the quick turn-around time on my projects, I require payment in advance for your project. This may be done either 100% in full or 50% at the start of the project and the remaining 50% balance prior to installation of the design.
If you wish to be refunded for the cost of a purchased item before files are sent to your email address, and/or before I have installed your template, I will give you a refund. Once your files have been sent over, or the design has been installed, I’m sorry but I am unable to offer a refund due to the digital nature of the product.
If you are at all unhappy with your purchase, please contact me as soon as possible. I will try my best to remedy the situation and find a solution that satisfies both of us.
I prefer to communicate by email, as it is my fastest method of contact. Once you contact me, you will get a response within 24-48 hours. During the design phase, it is very important that we communicate often so that we can get your project finished as soon as possible.
After three months of no communication, your project will be archived. To resume and complete the project, there will be a fee of $300.00.
I do offer phone consults when necessary, including video calls at the close of a project, though normally I prefer email communication.
After the design has been installed, I give you up to one week to test out the design and work with your website. Should any concerns arise in this time, I will do any fixes for free. This period is intended for finding errors, rather than changing the look or layout as that should be discussed during the proof process. After that set support time, any changes to the look or layout are charged at my hourly fee of $75.
As with any new design, it is strongly recommended that you save a back-up of your site before we install your new design to assure nothing is lost during the installation process. I am not responsible for anything lost due to your failure to back-up your site.
You are responsible for making an informed hosting decision based on your own research for a hosting provider. Carrie Loves Design Studio is not responsible for any hosting issues you may encounter with your chosen hosting provider.
